My interest in sculpture lies in the exploration of pure abstract form and the reactions, both emotional and intellectual, that one experiences when viewing work that is totally non-representational, existing as a discrete object referring only to itself. At its best, this type of work provides an oasis of peace and reflection, offering a chance to step briefly outside of regular life, to put reality on hold in favour of a more meditative state. |
