Since girlhood I have always been interested in pressing flowers and leaves, and began making gift cards to give away to family and friends.
In 1997, at my sister's suggestion,I began consigning various sized pictures and cards, etc. Items are now available for sale in a number of Regina and surrounding shops and have also been sold from the Maritimes to BC.
Most of the flowers/leaves I use are grown each summer in our garden, many started from seed. I utilize microwave presses, tweezers, toothpicks, a laminator, etc., to achieve the delicate designs that define my Craft.
What began as an enjoyable hobby has now become a profitable, home-based business. I am still amazed that people are willing to reimburse me for something I can do so easily and find so enjoyable! I appreciate your on-going support. |
