Eleanor is a fiber artist living in Regina. Her main focus is creating small landscapes which are representative of the prairies. These landscapes use cotton fabrics as a base. Each sky is individually hand painted on fabric and the landscape details are embellished with hand embroidery using a variety of threads.
Eleanor's prairie landscapes are in private collections in Canada, Japan, Australia and Europe.
Eleanor also does collage work to create abstract designed fiber pieces which are embellished with hand and machine embroidery, other fibers and beadwork. Her art dolls feature hand painted fabric bodies, flowing embellished clothing and fanciful yarns for hair. |
