I am originally from Saskatchewan (Regina mostly, but I lived as well in a town called Turtleford, and spent much of my childhood in Northern Saskatchewan). I spent seven years in St. John's, Newfoundland, then returned back to Saskatchewan in August, 2009 after the birth of my first child.

My involvement with clay is directly attributed to being from Saskatchewan; we have such a strong history and presence of ceramics here. I was able to take a ceramics class in High School and then when I attended the University of Regina I was exposed to some of the country's best ceramists, and it just continued from there.

As for textiles, my grandmother was an avid/keen knitter; I learnt from her.

I am currently one of eight artists participating in a pilot mentorship project out of Chapel Gallery in North Battleford. It's quite innovative, and we are very busy. We show work regularly in and around the city, have an "Art Bus" that travels to events in the summer, and participate in various workshops.
