Award Winning Canadian Pastel Artist, Joanne Marchildon, was born and raised on a farm north of Spiritwood, Saskatchewan and her passion for nature and wildlife comes naturally.
Joanne is a Metis Artist and has been a resident of Saskatoon for the past 20 years. She has a Bachelor of Education degree, for which she received honours and distinction for high academic achievement. Her career in preschool and elementary education provided various teaching positions over a period of ten years.
For the past four years, Joanne has successfully owned and operated "Joanne Marchildon Artworks," as a home based business. In August 2009, Joanne was pleased to announce the grand opening of "Joanne Marchildon Gallery & Art School". The gallery is open five days a week for clients to come and browse the latest pastel originals and to purchase prints and art cards. Lessons are taught five days a week to both children and adults, from beginners to advanced. |
