Founded in 1999, The Picnic Basket was an idea resulted from a trip to New Orleans. After experiencing the unique and world-famous delicacies, our founder began making her own soups and dishes, based on the ones she enjoyed in New Orleans. Not long after, a friend suggested she make her recipes available for purchase and introduced her to suppliers who could produce the dry ingredients in large quantities that were crucial to her recipes.
Today, The Picnic Basket produces a variety of dry rice and soup mixes, as well as a unique yet refreshing watermelon iced tea. All products are vegetarian and are MSG and Gluten free. All products are pre-cooked - just add water and cook! |
